Drawing II's Colour drawing. We made little three (or two if you were lazy) dimensional maquettes out of whatever and then had to draw them super big with a high colour saturation. I pulled most of my maquette from old comic books and through a few sake cups and artist tools ontop. It's sort of a self-portrait in the way it represents all the things I think are wicked awesome. Media here include chalk pastels, pencil crayon, pastels, and charcoal. I'm rather pleased with how this all turned out. I think the flat and three-dimensional components of the piece are rendered well in relation to one another and I got to do a fricken T-Rex, which I discovered makes every single project better. If only there was some way to work dinosaurs into my self-portraits....
